It's crabs, man. I heard they make you itch like hell. Shave 'em...it's the only way to save em. That or buy some special shampoo.

Please don't ask how I know so much about this but
If in fact it is 'Mechanized Dandruff" you should be able to see them in a Bright light They are red and tiny.
If you spot them Have someone go to a pharmacy (don't go yourself they jump)
And ask for Pyranate A 200 (I think thats how its spelled) or an equivalent
Shampoo your entire body per the instructions and have anyone you have had contact with do the same
Wash all your clothing and bedding Including the mattress pad in the hottest water available. Bleach what you can
Set off a bug bomb

That is a lot of wax and while never having the need or desire to do that I would imagine more pain than the critters
As an aside and totally off topic I do not understand what is going on with my Avitar
Some show it as Fuzzy and out of focus Others show it sharp
