Now that I've watched it it reminds me of Fap Note as it starts out almost exactly the same way. Except he doesn't masturbate.

Bad anime is Bad, it doesn't get a free pass for being different and unique, it's just pretentious

I actually enjoy the art style, honestly. The story is well-delivered too. Definitely keeping up with this series.
