yes, I remember the whole thing.
people usually forget them just because they don't sing them anymore. :P
I still love my country to a point. Forgetting a simple thing like this is just funny.

I know almost the whole song, just a few verse here and there are probably mixed up. At least it hasn't been bastardized like the pledge of allegiance with the addition of God in there.

but sometimes they use to hum it
like
" hmmmmm~ hmmmmm~ hmmm~ "
but they are national anthems
out there are pretty hard to memorize.

I probably need to look up some lines, but I remember most of it. Haven't had a reason to sing or even hear it in a long time, though.

*stands up and place hand on chest*
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen.
O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter her enemies,
And make them fall.
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On thee our hopes we fix:
God save the Queen.
Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign:
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen
From every latent foe,
From the assassins blow,
God save the Queen!
O'er her thine arm extend,
For Britain's sake defend,
Our mother, prince, and friend,
God save the Queen!
*sits back down* i love being patriotic so i do know englands anthems lyrics

American national anthem is easy to remember, mostly because it's short. It really helps that I used to have to sing this before high school football games and such, so forgetting it isn't an option...

Much like Tsuyoshiro said, the American National Anthem is easy to memorize. Even if I don't remember right at the top of my head right now, once the song comes on, the lyrics come to me and I can sing it. This was more or less imparted to me since of the education system. -_-

Why would I do that when I can memorize better songs?Indeed
I think we should start a petition to get the name changed from "National Anthem" to "Theme Song"
