"Neighbor" PISSING me off

So I live in a dorm room and I am a University student in Aerospace Engineering so every subjects I take are insane, so concentration and focus on the work is pretty important. BUT ONE DAY
This fucking kid living a room beside mine, decided to sing out loud... at 2:40am
He's Catholic and I think he was practicing to sing in the church to celebrate Easter or some shit.

If the song he sang was calm and enjoyable, or if he had a talent in singing, I would have been perfectly fine with him singing. But singing about how "Jesus is in our hearts always" with his hoarse voice pissed me off.

I've already talked to him about this, but he would not stop.
Is it time for some beating? or is there a better way to solve this?

When I need to study, I usually listen to this to drown out outside noise. That, or I listen to Cagayake! Girls or something similar.

Hmm I prefer music that rather sits in the background like cool jazz or some prog (King Crimson for example, "Islands" is perfect in that regard).

Energetic music makes me think about the actual music too much. Like, hey that fill was cool. Or, naw man better not.
