1) Not really "tempted". I've never had the opportunity if that's what you mean. Also, I don't really know that many guys around here to even have that happen... And if you mean have I wanted too, then no because that would be wrong. You can't enjoy something when wrecked with guilt me thinks.
2)I got a headache
3) I was in the hospital one day after a car crash. I turned on the Tv to entertain my little brother who was visiting me, and Naruto was on. I watch a huge Naruto marathon, and that is what made me like anime. Then one day I was looking for the manga, and found something not so PG. In the comments section, somebody said, "there is way better hentai over at fakku.net" Da rest is history.
4)At first I sorta did, back before I even joined the forums. Now, I just get on for the community and don't ever really look at the uploads unless one has really good looking art. Or, Ziggy's team just did some kaichou wa maid-sama, so I definitely downloaded that in a hurry. I even tried to help her find the releases themselves (failed there though).

Lol, that's what happened to me.

This will inevitably sound v. weeaboo, but: I hear a lot about the shitty comedy, backwards businesses and frustrating customs in Japan...anything that particularly riles you about living there?

@ Dos - I see a lot of what people talk about, but it doesn't bother me. It isn't like some of those aspects don't also bother Japanese people. But yeah the comedy can be really funny sometimes, but other times not so much. A really popular thing to do - it would be the equivalent of stand up comedy - is for two guys to get on stage and one act like an idiot while the other scolds him for being said idiot. You get what they are trying to do, but it just doesn't make you laugh.
But some tv shows are awesome. When they do sketches or pranks, Japanese comedy shines. They could teach shows in America like Saturday Night Live how to be funny again.
Backwards business is a weird problem. It appears to me, that everyone knows that certain practices are a problem, but nobody knows what to do about it or is afraid to be the first one. Japanese work too long (and get demoralized as a result without noticing this reduces productivity), don't get creative for fear of seeming like they are dissenters, and can be real "yes men". Coincidentally enough, that is why I was hired at the company I work at. One guy got fed up with things, and said he wanted an assistant that will, "fight with him about good ideas". I don't know why you'd fight when your ideas are good, but I'm glad to get paid.
Also, I've posted about it once before, but I've been turned away at a karaoke place before for not being Japanese. However, my Japanese friends with me were really mad about the whole thing, so it shows that like any place, there are saints and jerks.
That and Avatar - but I like to leave the Avatar part out because people will argue about whether it is even an anime. Naruto was showing the Chunin exams, and it looked interesting. It was a marathon so they went back to episode 1, and it wasn't like I could go anywhere so yeah. Naruto lead to other anime, and that lead to School Rumble, and that lead to Clannad. I was hooked.
I'm slightly disappointed by this.
I suppose so. But looking back, I didn't even know what anime was at the time. It was just another cartoon, and I had no idea it came from another country or that it was based off "manga". Naruto has probably introduced more people to anime than even Dragonball did. I tried to show my little sister anime that was less mainstream, and she didn't care for it. She did start asking questions about the Naruto Ninja storms game I was playing with my bf though. So there is that...

I got into anime via Bleach, so don't be hatin'. I would guess that the vast majority of people in 'the West' start either with Ghibli or the never-enders.

I never liked Bowser too much, he has no traction when drifting. I usually use Peach in the motorcycle. I feel her controls are the best.
edit: oh wow I totally missed the point of the thread. I don't really know what to ask though. I'll report back if I find a question worth asking.

I'm just a little saddened that so many people get their introduction to anime through shit like Naruto, instead of greats like Cowboy Bebop, NGE, etc. Oh well, everyone has to start off somewhere.

I'd say he is too fast in fact. I almost never lose unless I get hit by a blue shell at the end or something like that. My friends groan whenever I pick up. If a small child is in the room, they'll start crying. Women will tell me they forgot to wash their hair and that they probably left the rice cooker on. Grown men ball their fist, then release, and pace up and down the living room - partly in anguish, partly in anger, mostly in fear.
Ball, release, ball, release.

What have been some of your favourite aspects about living in Japan, and what are some things you miss about the States that they don't really have over there?

I know this isn't japan exclusive or even related in a sterotypical way, but I like the snow =D. I also like the people because the majority of them are really really nice. If someone falls down or trips in the States, you can expect people to laugh a little bit at you. Over here everyone will do there best not to make you feel uncomfortable. That really is one thing I notice - nobody wants you to feel offended or uncomfortable (to the point that things actually become uncomfortable and awkward >__>)
Japanese culture experience wise, I like the festivals during the fall. Also cherry blossoms were really pretty, but they take back seat to festivals because they clog up the drains and make a mess when the leaves fall. I also got to meet Nobuo Uematsu-san who is the guy who did the final fantasy music. I gave him a cup of coffee, and he pretended to be spoiled act like it wasn't perfect so he didn't want it, which made me laugh.
2) I miss getting free drink refills at Mcdonalds. For some weird reason I am also starting to miss Walmart, and I remember I hated Walmart. Also, the milk over here taste funny, and nothing is very sweet. I don't think Japanese like sugar.
Also sunday football games are shown around 10 in the morning on a monday over here. I'm usually at work so that is not cool.
@Gism88 - A little bit I guess.

I imagine Animanga spruces them up a fair bit, but it's gotta be based off of something.

That is freaking awesome.

Festivals I've been to are sorta like they are in anime. There are food vendors all along the road selling a bunch of different cuisines or have games for you to play. Depending on the festival, there might be a parade or maybe they instead have a stage where they have events take place. The festivals in the fall have fireworks as the main attraction. I've never seen a maid cafe stand though. Think more Amagami SS or Haruhi's endless eight and less Toradora.
I've never been to an actual school festival though. I think they might only have them in larger cities. Either that or I'm woefully unaware of my communities events.

Dude you are going to get me lambasted! I'm shamed to admit - because of how this year went - that I am a Cowboys fan.

Have you been to the onsen yet? If you have did it bother you a little bit? Also can you remind me what my last question was gonna be about?

It wasn't too weird, but still a little weird. I made sure to get in first XD. I felt odd being nekid with everyone, but there were older ladies that were in there like it was nothing, so everyone else being cool about it made me not feel odd.
I suppose it is like when you had to get used to the lockers at school - everyone is sorta weirded out about changing together in one giant room, but you get used to it.
There was an indoor onsen, and an outdoor one. I would of went outside but it was stinky. Also, the experience gave me the opinion that Asians are hairless because they scrub so freaking hard when they bathe that they rub all their hair off.
This is why tegumi has smooth legs - which coincidentally was what your last question was going to be about.
