My heart and arteries/veins are fine. Just my healing factor in my right foot is crap. Overall your healing factor is crap. It takes diabetic people at least 2x the time it takes a normal person to heal any injury. It's the reasons I didn't get a scholarship.
Mind telling your story?
since this been necroed and all...
Played high school football and was pretty good(Div 2 letters of intent good/every major Canadian University looking at me) until a minor injury took me out for an entire season(something that could have taken anyone 1-2 months to heal took me 5 months). I still played well my senior year, made it to the province championship but no college or university want to offer a scholarship to someone made of glass.

That sucks Waar... I also had offers from D2 colleges, but I decided to not play my senior year of football based on several reasons.

I'm very much alive, though I do have to worry about complications in the future. It sound like freak had some rough patches in his life where he didn't take care of his disease and now he's dealing with the repercussions.

Living in fast lane does that to you, judging by his stories. Though you're not him so... at least something to be glad about. Guess Wilford Brimley wasn't all about comedy either.
