New apartment

Just moved into a new apartment after being evicted from the last one.
Has 1 bedroom 1 bath, which is fine for me. I barely make 1600-1700 per month with 2 jobs, is tough to make 2 bedroom apartments work on that budget.
I didn't take much stuff with me, so it'll be easy to keep clean.
I figured since I wasn't getting my deposit back anyway, my previous landlord could keep the shit I didn't want.
Yes, I'm a terrible tenant, but I really didn't have the time to move I needed.
2 years of moving shit in only to move out in 30 days is tough when you don't have a car or people to help.
I moved most of my stuff by buses.
Bought all-new furniture since I couldn't take them on the buses, obviously.
Still no dresser, but I have hangers in the meantime.
Oh, and this time, my apartment has a FUCKING DISH WASHER.
And a washer/drier.
The last apartment didn't have either.
Made going to laundromat part of my expenses.
Hand washing all my dishes wasn't awful, but this will save lots of time so I can rest between jobs.

wouldn't it have been cheaper to rent a uhaul? It's like $20 plus $0.59 per mileI didn't have the 20 bucks at the time, just barely pulled off the 2400 to move in, part of which I borrowed from a friend.
I'll have to pay him back this Friday.
I didn't even have food in the house till yesterday.

The majority of my effects (such as my books, and gun, weapon, and antique collections) are still in my room at my folks place. Left my PS3 there for the past two years.
Some permanence would be nice. Steady work in the same area so I don't have to hike up and follow it every few months.

Wait, so you've been moving from place to place because of work?
That's pretty tough man, I wouldn't do that.
I work pretty far from home at my second job (Dairy Queen), like 4 cities over, but still, buses will get me there and back...
I mean, unless you travel by car, in that case, I totally understand.
Gasoline prices are pretty bad again, with no end in sight.
Although, I guess the main reason I don't move for work, is that I can't.
I have a pretty spotty rental history, clashed with some landlords who broke some laws, though I couldn't prove it so...
The only thing I have going for my rental history is that I have no criminal record, which is nice.

It's pretty rural, I work my full time job here though.
Any other jobs I don't mind traveling for since I work them on Friday through Sunday each week.
I'm lucky to have four 10-hour days for my main job, it's gotten harder to get that kind of work schedule these days.

Why'd you get evicted?Because they were 'unsatisfied with the sanitary conditions of my unit'.
Most of my apartment was pretty clean, but I used the front bedroom as a storage room for all of my crap.
It was mostly clothing I rarely use, electronics that are long obsolete, etc. Some books I had still from high school were in the mix.
Oh, and my damn-near indestructible safe.
Dropped that fucker out of a 5 story window and it didn't bust open.
Oh, and after they gave me the 30-day notice, I ripped the fan out of the dining room ceiling while cleaning.
No security deposit refunds lol.

The Defenestrator!
What's minimum wage like down there?
I read it goes as low as ~5$ in some places, not counting the states that don't have one. I thought you guys abolished slavery :/
Good luck though, I hope things start looking up for you!

The federal minimum wage is 7.25 if the States minimum wage is lower they are required to pay the federal minimum, but a lot of states are higher, like here in Oregon it's 9.25.
