Well, in my case it's the Japanese equivalent, 'Masayoshi'. Still means justice, though.
Most common characters in Chinese and Japanese kanji share the same meanings though. Some of my friends who are exchange students from China are having no trouble learning kanji due to this, but their pronunciations are sometimes worse than mine (and mine are pretty bad).
The main reason no one remembers me, though, is that I went through 3 name changes in less than 2 years (holy shit, right?)
