No guy likes small boobs, even in pettanko mangas?

Alright, so I've read a lot of hmanga. Pretty much everyone here has. There's something that really bothers me though. Whenever a girl has small breasts, she either ends up apologizing for them being small, or the guy says something like 'I love you even if your breasts or small' or 'They're nice even though they're small' or some shit like that. I don't think I've ever read a manga where the guy actually LIKED small boobs. Worse yet is that 90% of pettankos are lolis, which (personally) is a fetish separate from liking just small boobs. (Since lolis are small everywhere and have that childlike... 'appeal'.)

Anyone have thoughts on this? Why are there no couples with a normal girl and a guy who actually ENJOYS her breasts (or, you know, lack there of.)?

There are pettanko manga where it is as you describe. Depending on your luck it may take a few seconds/hours of reading on e-hentai to find. That said, I think the pettanko tag was made for manga where a flat chest is specifically emphasized. Similarly oppai is for manga with large and sometimes gigantic breasts and are emphasized throughout.

just as broken said, They just want to draw out the emphasis on the subject at hand, to give a larger influence in the story/taletelling as it is presented.

You arent looking hard enough, There are tons of book out there where the MC likes small breasts, but like the other posters here said, its a fetish so its usually drawn attention to by the girl apologizing for having a small chest.

You can't have read a lot if you're making that assumption.

In Oppai mangas they never apologize for their breasts being too large? Just because that's the fetish doesn't explain why a girl has to apologize. And I've read plenty of manga I don't know why everyone assumes I haven't. If it was as common as you are saying then why would I be asking the question to begin with? And lolis really are in almost every pettanko.

Maybe you just haven't come across the huge range of non loli pettanko then.

I hadn't really thought about this before until your observation, not sure what you want us to say though. May as well go and ask mangaka to change what they're doing, we're just people who read their stuff.

The complex is part of the fetish, I think. Pettanko can mean flat chests in general but it also has a lot to do with the insecurity that goes with them.

As for the guys not liking them, I've read a few where he does (a certain Dr. P manga especially coming to mind). That is few and far between, though.

I've thought about this myself a few times but then dropped it by saying to myself "You're thinking too much over it, just fap to the small tits. Who cares if the guy getting them doesn't like them as much as you do, as long as you love them that's all that matters."

And saying 90% of pettankos are lolis is pretty ignorant. But of course, most people these days think that any girl who is short, has no cleavage, and is more "cute" than "hot" are lolis.

I'm hardly ignorant. If you actually read the first post I clearly stated 'childlike' appeal. Lolis are short, flat-chested girls who look like they're very young (cute). That's not an ignorant statement.

There's a difference between saying pettankos have a 'childlike' appeal and saying '90% of pettankos are lolis'. Lolis by definition are underage (usually 12 and under since a majority of non-loli hentai girls are high school-aged) girls. They're an entirely different genre than pettanko girls who are older than that. I'll admit, some H-artists push it with making their pettanko girls having borderline loli characteristics despite being overage, but they usually do a good job drawing a line between prepubescent girls and teenage girls who happen to have small breasts. Equating lolis to girls who are short and have no boobs is just ridiculous and I'm tired of seeing people making the comparison. I don't speak for all pettanko lovers, but I don't read them because of 'childlike appeal', I read them because what people find 'cute' I find 'hot'. Pettanko girls are cute, and I love that about them.

You didn't understand what I was saying. I was saying that it's very common for pettanko mangas to have loli characters. NOT that all pettankos are lolis. There's a difference between cute and loli. Age doesn't always come into play for loli characters, either. If they LOOK very young then they are also considered that. Short and no boobs is one thing but when the characters have those two things they usually ACT like little girls too.

A woman can have small breasts and be just that, a woman. But I find that often times if a character is a pettanko she has loli characteristics. If they gave the short girls a mature looking face then I wouldn't consider them a loli.

I'm not saying every single pettanko manga involves lolicon, I just think that's it's more common than teenage/adult girls being depicted.

And I admitted some pettanko artists stretch it past the limit in that area, I didn't say all pettankos aren't lolis either. I've read a bunch of pettanko manga, and I think most of the time the artists do a good job distinguishing between flat chested teenagers and prepubescent girls. Of course that's just me and everyone would look at that differently. You obviously have different standards than I do.

I didn't say you said that. I still feel like you're not understanding what I'm saying. This is just arguing about opinions. But what I'm saying isn't any more ignorant than what you're saying. I personally feel like if a girl has a young looking face and a young looking body, then she's a loli. The only reason a hentai artist may say they're 16 or 18 is to be able to sell the manga. That doesn't make the character any less of one. I'm not saying that applies to real life, so if your girlfriend is short and flatchested then don't worry I'm not calling you a pedo. Pretty much all fetishes are subjective, any ways. You shouldn't act like you're the official lolicon police and try and arrest anyone who defines it differently than you.

By the way, the novel Lolita was about a man who was attracted to a 12 year old girl. Last time I checked, 12 isn't prepubescent. Lolis aren't always just 'children'. A 13 year old girl still is young but not a child. And being sexually attracted to girls who are thirteen in anime/mangas would be considered being a lolicon (if you're over 18).

After reading the whole debate here I have to agree with Alora. There is a few things I would like to add though. Viewing the similarities and differences between pettanako and loli seems to be completely based on a persons own tastes. Those that like the flat chest and cuteness would believe the two to be very different. Those that dislike them would view the two to be very much the same. I personally dislike pettanako and loli, I assume Alora does as well. BloodyScythe seems to be a fan of pettanako and such his view is different. But because we don't agree on a single fact that pettanako are different or aren't means that there is at least enough similarity to warrant caution when viewing pettanako so that you aren't seeing loli. I also think that because of these similarities those that do enjoy pettanako are much more likely to also enjoy loli. This makes it seem all the more similar to those that dislike both.

You're wrong. There are quite a few that I have read where the oppai girl has said "I'm sorry for having such awkwardly large breasts." or "I'm sorry my breasts are always in the way... isn't it disgusting?" or "Your breasts are so large and shapely, but mine are just huge and awkward, and they hit everything when I turn around."

By the way those are exact quotes, verbadum. One of those came from the manga titled "MySister". Not sure about the others, or about the author of "MySister". Will update if I'm not too lazy and look it up.

More often the guy tells them that they're body is lewd (like in forced mangas). I don't think it happens all that often where the girl is the one saying it. Though I have seen it a few times.

Yeah guys will also say a girl has a lewd body if she gets wet quickly.

Whattt? That maybe happened in one or two mangas but there's no way that's a common/usual thing.
