NTR Rage...
1
For the past couple of weeks I have been exposed to more and more NTR doujins on Fakku. During this time I've noticed alot of people blowin up their keyboards with hate. Honestly alot of it just makes me laugh uncontrollably, so I dont get why people get all butt hurt over it.
So I guess my main question here is, why does NTR make people rage so much? Are all fakku members upstanding members of society? Does it disrupt your perceived notion of what love should be? Or does the occasional rage fit make you feel better?

Does it disrupt your perceived notion of what love should be?
Exactly. NTR, to a lot of people, signifies an extreme level of betrayal. That can make you extremely horny or extremely disgusted, depending on what your point of view is on the matter.
The sad thing is that a lot of people, the ones you so mention blow their keyboards with hate, are extremely close minded and egocentrical and can't seem to understand that there are people that have that kind of fetish. They also can't seem to grasp the notion of quitting a doujin midways and always sit through till the end even though it pains them to do so. The human race works in mysterious ways, huh.

Curious and Wondering
I dunno, but in my opinion it ain't that too special to get noticed anyway. People rage at certain things they don't like, different strokes for different folks. We can simply get rid of the taxing thoughts of specifically why, and just assume they hate it because they don't like it.
But in this case, maybe FAKKU! has a greater concentration of NTR disapprovers than any other forums. Maybe.
I just file it under the "Meh, people getting butthurt over genres they don't like but they keep on reading them" folder.
I shudder to think if somebody started an NTR user upload thread, it'll be a magnet for these butthurt folks. They'll download them, then post shitty comments on why they disliked something they downloaded a few minutes ago.

Might sound like a stupid question guys but whats NTR ?NTR is when for example the protagonist's girlfriend/wife gets raped by someone and ends up liking it to the point were she loves the rapist more then the protagonist. think of it as a new level of cheating

Netorare.
It doesn't have to be a "rapist", any kind of cheating is NTR.
Cases:
-Girl is not satisfied by her boyfriend, and then tries having sex with many guys.
-Girl has a sexfriend despite being engaged.
-Girl is a nympho.
I don't have problems with NTR (heck I download NTR VNs just for the kicks), and people should just leave it if they don't like it.

Maybe something that bad happened to them. so we can't blame them getting that "RAGE"
but still.. they don't have any good reasons to say something bad about the Authors.
btw i think its hard to think of a good NTR. so i Salute them for making good ones :P when i say good ones. i mean unhappy endings, disturbing, depressing ones. but i dont feel bad about it because that's the main point of the Story. And things like these do really happen BTW. Simply because every people have their dirty little secret or desires. girls are like boys too. they want to be more satisfied.(sometimes it's the guy's fault for not making his loved one not satisfied.)
anyways. im just sayin..
sorry for the bad english tho. im really not good in english sorry.

I find it hilarious when people claim to hate NTR and then go off and read all those NTR doujins. Really guys?
If you really hate it, then when you see a tag, or NTR situation, go back or go off into Manga section again and pick something else. Is it really that fucking difficult? Or do some people have an organic need to rage so they can re-affirm their pathetic little believe of having a moral high-ground; or some other bullshit-nobody-cares-about?
I don't really like NTR, but I don't think I ever raged about it. Hell, I do read it sometimes, if only for the laughs from inevitable hate and horror of some people.
Some people like cat-tails, some like seeing girlfriends cheat. That's all there is to it.

Making a whole new thread for this seems kinda unnecessary given the fact that an appropriate thread for discussing NTR does already exist.
on topic:
Some people like it, some people don't. I myself am one of the latter, but I do understand that different people have different preferences, and I respect that.
This was my post on the NTR main thread, written right after finishing some Nagare Ippon stuff.
I really don't know how other people can take it, but I seriously cannot.
A good, well-plotted NTR should make a deep emotional impact on 99% of its readers. If a NTR story is able to piss you off / make you rage / make your stomach feel weird (it's not the feeling known as "love" I'm talking about) in a really bitter way, then ... well then the doujin / anime / eroge / whatever has done its job quite nicely. That's the whole purpose of this genre.
I - for myself - can't really stand it. I do like to read doujins containing rape from time to time, but usually those particular doujins are all fantasy-esque and don't really relate to real-life in any way (I guess that's why tentacles and stuff like that don't annoy people as much).
As for NTR type stories ... well they often do relate to real-life situations that nobody ever want to find him-/herself in. Especially in hentai, as it often contains continous rape plus mindbreaking.
A well-plotted NTR would always do either of the following:
Either: Put the reader / viewer into the 'protagonists' point of view
Or: Put the reader / viewer into a neutral position
Or: Mix up both options above
I guess I don't have to argue that neither of these routes are really appealing for quite a large amount of people.
I can only speak from my point of view, but here's what I think of it:
If the story puts me directly in the POV of the protagonist (the one who gets NTR'd) I'd usually stop reading / playing / watching said story any further, because I don't really like the feeling of those kind of things happening to me (who actually does?), and that's just rather mildly expressed.
If the story puts me into a rather neutral position, where I know exactly what's happening, well the feeling is even kinda scarier for me. It's basically looking at a happy couple getting ripped apart by the selfishness of some random jerks, knowing exactly that I can't do anything to change that but I still feel that I have to read the whole thing for the sake of consistency, because in theory it's not me who's getting NTR'd.
If the story mixes both of the above options ... well it's just cruel to the peace of my mind, can't really say more.
I enjoy reading / watching hentai for great art, nice sex scenes and actually good plot compared to ANY other type of porn (only compared to other types of porn) and I usually don't want to take hentai plots serious. And I do want to have the feeling that I can peacefully fap to hentai, because ya know love makes the world go around and such (well money as well ... but let's look at love here). NTR just makes it impossible for me to do so, I've stated my opinion above, I don't know how other people feel about this topic. And while I do respect those people who actually like NTR (for whatever reasons), I just can't find myself enjoying such things.
Sadly, most NTR doujins I read have really great art. It's really tempting to read a newly released doujin when you can only see one single, really hot and well drawn page as thumbnail on the frontpage, so it usually makes you wanna read them.
At least I've learned to better watch out for the tags to be able to steer away from such doujins / animes / games in time.
Sry for the wall'o'text, I was just typing right out of my heart (sort of)

Why does the rage from users even matter?
Just read the doujin and fap or whatever you do when you read NTR.
I my self like the way girls turn so easily in most NTR doujins.
I think of my self as the guy stealing the girl from some pansy and laughing at his misfortune, I know that may sound pretty bad to most users on here.
But it is what excites me for reasons I do not even know.
What is love(That word sickens me) anyway?

e.g. To Catch a Predator
Motherf*cker: I was just trying to warn her about the dangers of online predators.
Chris Hansen: Dude, you fucking sent her a picture of your penis.
Motherf*cker: I know it's wrong but...... Well, ummm.... Trying to have sex with a 12 year old is wrong.
Chris Hansen: You got anything to say for yourself?
Motherf*cker: Purest, best pleasure.

True Blue makes me laugh. If just because the main character was such a retard. I'm not particularly a fan of this little subgenre, but I think that many who get pissed off have 'classical' notions of romance or perhaps have had an unfortunate similar scenario happen to them regarding unfaithful significant others. Either way, it's as easy as not reading them if you don't like it.
You have to admit, fan or not, that if it manages to piss you off that it was pretty effective on the writer's part.

NTR is starting to grow on me. I didn't like it at first, but now I can't stop reading them. NTR makes people rage because its not the typical boy-girl formula we've all grown to love and accept. It glorifies cheating, which is the most despicable thing that could happen in a relationship. When people read/watch NTR, they can't help but to look at things from the victim's perspective.

NTR is not my cup of tea, and if I'm informed about it I don't read it, period. When I but hurt is when I get "tricked" into reading it. Ever read a story called Golden Boy? Hentai was great at the beginning, awesome, funny, just interesting tale. Then we get to the "Cult" Storyline, see me reading it praying that we have a happy ending, since we had light and funny stories all the way till now. See me very disappointed that nothing got changed besides the one cult leader girl deciding to go on her own way to learn about the world. See me start raging cause now shes mindfucking with past characters that already had the happy ending.
When a story starts out happy and fun loving, Im going to go and read the next chapter, and if they seem to keep having this vanilla stuff I will keep reading it, but then we get to the NTR and we hold out hope that it ends happily, then we rage when it didn't.
To anyone who reads one shots or two shots that are NTR you knew what you were getting into and you shouldn't complain. But the example I gave, I think I have the right to complain.

You' find plenty of reasons here: NTR...do you like it or not?
One thing that annoys me about NTR that isn't because it's NTR is that the art or animation is usually very good and so it feels like a waste to me since I hate it.

The type of people that rage at NTR are ones that fear being betrayed in real life,

It's because most Fakku members see women as property that can somehow be "stolen" from a man.I don't think its nessasarily about anyone being someone's property. I think its more about you thought you and this woman were in love that you were connected, that you could trust one another, but then it turns out that this is not the case. That trust that you had with the other person is broken. It would be a very painful thing for a man or a woman to find out that your lover is cheating on you.
