Did a bunch of posts just disappear? There was a recent news by Jacob regarding some server issues and that most forum posts of last month are gone.
Kinda dissapointing, I was just reading into this thread when I noticed that half of it is empty :/
On topic:
I really don't know how other people can take it, but I seriously cannot.
A good, well-plotted NTR should make a deep emotional impact on 99% of its readers. If a NTR story is able to piss you off / make you rage / make your stomach feel weird (it's not the feeling known as "love" I'm talking about) in a really bitter way, then ... well then the doujin / anime / eroge / whatever has done its job quite nicely. That's the whole purpose of this genre.
I - for myself - can't really stand it. I do like to read doujins containing rape from time to time, but usually those particular doujins are all fantasy-esque and don't really relate to real-life in any way (I guess that's why tentacles and stuff like that don't annoy people as much).
As for NTR type stories ... well they often do relate to real-life situations that nobody ever want to find him-/herself in. Especially in hentai, as it often contains continous rape plus mindbreaking.
A well-plotted NTR would always do either of the following:
Either: Put the reader / viewer into the 'protagonists' point of view
Or: Put the reader / viewer into a neutral position
Or: Mix up both options above
I guess I don't have to argue that neither of these routes are really appealing for quite a large amount of people.
I can only speak from my point of view, but here's what I think of it:
If the story puts me directly in the POV of the protagonist (the one who gets NTR'd) I'd usually stop reading / playing / watching said story any further, because I don't really like the feeling of those kind of things happening to me (who actually does?), and that's just rather mildly expressed.
If the story puts me into a rather neutral position, where I know exactly what's happening, well the feeling is even kinda scarier for me. It's basically looking at a happy couple getting ripped apart by the selfishness of some random jerks, knowing exactly that I can't do anything to change that but I still feel that I have to read the whole thing for the sake of consistency, because in theory it's not me who's getting NTR'd.
If the story mixes both of the above options ... well it's just cruel to the peace of my mind, can't really say more.
I enjoy reading / watching hentai for great art, nice sex scenes and actually good plot compared to ANY other type of porn (only compared to other types of porn) and I usually don't want to take hentai plots serious. And I do want to have the feeling that I can peacefully fap to hentai, because ya know love makes the world go around and such (well money as well ... but let's look at love here). NTR just makes it impossible for me to do so, I've stated my opinion above, I don't know how other people feel about this topic. And while I do respect those people who actually like NTR (for whatever reasons), I just can't find myself enjoying such things.
Sadly, most NTR doujins I read have really great art. It's really tempting to read a newly released doujin when you can only see one single, really hot and well drawn page as thumbnail on the frontpage, so it usually makes you wanna read them.
At least I've learned to better watch out for the tags to be able to steer away from such doujins / animes / games in time.
Sry for the wall'o'text, I was just typing right out of my heart (sort of)

You forgot
or: put the reader / viewer into "the antagonist" point of view. this means the one who's NTR-ing
there are some eroge/manga/anime that does that.
Nice, non-rage opinion BTW.

oh yeah, I forgot that option ^^
Thx for the praise, I guess I just needed to pour my feelings out in some way after reading that new Nagare Ippon doujin released just a few days ago. I'm still a bit beat up from reading it, couldn't really sleep that night but it's better now xD

Then it becomes cheating. And unless the guy she is with is a major douche, otherwise it's not that cool (for me at least).

I remember reading my first NTR. It threw me in shock for a few days. I have learned from that experience. I learned that I should just appreciate it as what it is, porn. Now, when ever I come across NTR I just ignore the story and continue.

I like the aspects of NTR that demolishes the in my view unhealthy concepts of sexuality, relationships, and etc. that I'm seen coming the 4chan-esk otaku. The endless "will they or won't they" guy loses sexually to the "grow a pair and proposition a babe already!" guy? Who'da thought? Women actually have sexual needs? Realism in my hentai? A girl gets freaky and enjoys. Every. Moment of it? I'm speechless. I should also point out that I seem to be a recent convert to the cuckold fetish, so there's that to.
The part that annoys me to no end is when NTR essentially does a 180 on the last paragraph and automatically have the opposing man be an asshole dispute the fact that due to NTR dealing with... flawed notions of relationships, the opposing man could easily be fully in the right in his desire for sex. You know, having the guy "stealing" the girl be a good guy on top of being sexually superior would make for a hot NTR story. Just saying. Anywho, I also hate when the woman gets turned into a sex slave solely because she received cock and enjoyed it, along with the general stupid hentai shit. God forbid the girl realizes that she can have the dick with the man she loves in some form of a open relationship or failing that, just decide that she loves the man more than dick or something.
To hell with it. I've been up all night and can barely type. sorry for the rambling and grammar.

It's come to my attention that recently both the manga and video section are featuring Netorare (Netorare meaning: Japanese acronym for Netorare, used to define a genre of Eroge (Hentai Game), meaning "Cuckold". In short, the main protagonist's loved one(s) are taken or seduced away from him and the heroine might be willing or unwilling. This is to cause an emotion of deep jealousy on the reader.) , whilst this was not unheard of, it was strange to see that genre on Fakku! (not that I'm against it), perhaps that's a new trend for hentai makers, perhaps this is the Netorare season, the reasons are yet unknown to me, that's why I come to you my fellow Fakku! members, what are your thoughts in this matter? or more accurately why do you think this new genre of Hentai is getting more attention by animators and mangakas (apart from the obvious financial gain)?
Most importantly what are your thoughts on Netorare?
Another term that I've come to read and it's closely related to Netorare is "Rage Fap" besides laughing my ass off at the term, when I saw a production that featured ntr I couldn't agree more with that term, since the male protagonist is usually a wimp I end up fapping in a berserking state, well I know that info wasn't necessary, so scratch that last bit.
Anyway let the trolling begin!!!

It's psychological.
The reason people don't like NTR is because of the perspective they are looking at it from. At the minimum there are 3 people in an NTR story. A Man and Woman in a relationship and another man who we will label as Stealer. The Man character can be a level-headed person at the most. Any more than that and it won't be a Pure NTR. The Woman needs to be black-mailed and slightly powerless. The Stealer is ultimately the one that looks over everything. The main point when a story turns NTR is when the Stealer has finally broken the Woman into liking the Stealer. This event may or may not have to have the Man involved witnessing the horrendous display. At the main point there's two points of view the reader can be looking at the story. There is the point of view from the Man and the point of view from the Stealer. The Man is good, righteous and at the main point of NTR betrayed and weak. The Stealer is evil, deceitful and at the main point of NTR the dominating force of the story. He is in control of the Woman.
Now when people first read NTR and they don't know it, the viewer is always putting themselves into the eyes of Man imagining a wonderful relationship with the Woman. That's when the Stealer comes in and makes you limp. Stealer takes your love interest and corrupts it. We as people don't like being betrayed and thus feel disgusted at the main point of NTR. It's tramples all over our trust and turns us into emotional blobs. If the man does have confidence and wins back a Woman, it isn't Pure NTR.
But why was NTR created? It's all about how you see the story. The only good that can come out of reading an NTR story is by putting yourself in the shoes of the Stealer. The Stealer might be evil but the Stealer ends up winning in the end and getting the Woman. The Stealer has the power over the Woman.
Man will always lose Woman to Stealer in NTR. Man will have thoughts of insignificance, doubt and depression at the end of the story and the Stealer will not give a damn what you think. Stealer is in it for personal gain and will always triumph over good.

Wrong section, should be in Hentai. Also you might want to check here to see others' opinions.
OT: <3 NTR
ed: I've just noticed there are other hentai related threads in general disc. Now I'm beginning to doubt myself whether this thread is in the wrong section or not.. :|

I'm not a fan of NTR, but it doesn't bother me as much as it use to. Personally i don't mind scenarios where the girl leaves the main character because her needs weren't filled for another man who is willing to satisfy those needs. (as stated above, it adds real life scenarios to the story.) The only thing about NTR that bugs me is when the "antagonist" blackmails and rapes the heroine, and then she likes it. To me it doesn't even make sense, so i am to believe that the "antagonist's" penis is laced with a mind controlling aphrodisiac. And I'm not talking about the year long psychological break down, I'm talking about the girl gets rape and then 5 mins into it, she becomes a slave to it and needs the guy's dick to survive. I know its hentai and its not real, and in anime we have little girls flying in skimpy outfits and firing lasers out of their eyes. But i mean usually its explained or it takes place in a fantasy like setting, in NTR it just seems like a poor plot device.
Anyways TL:DR I don't like NTR, but im not gonna rage and and wish horrible demise for those who create them.
