Our Childhood . . .

I know this isn't a debate on comparing 90's kids childhoods with 00's childhoods, but I honestly don't give a flying fuck about the whole debate on how our "younger years" are better.
I loved my childhood because of what I experienced, and other people had similar experiences when they were growing up. Sure, TV programs were good and some of them memorable, but it's things like having water gun fights in the middle of the road with my friends, climbing trees and trying (and failing) to make a den in a wooded area, and playing footy in a small field with them. Those are my fondest memories.
What we experienced and what they are experiencing are two different things, and they'll have their own fond memories and we have ours. What really pisses me off is how some people who claim to be 90's kids keep trying to rub their childhoods in everybody else's faces, almost in a sad attempt at saying "I'M BETTER THAN YOU"

I believe you're missing the point of the thread.

Nope, I just have the horrible habit of editing my post a zillion times after I post. I don't actually make my point until I finish being OCD.
And yeah I know it's not the point of the thread. SUE ME.

Also old toys seemed to last longer. Now some seem to break as soon as the kids start to play with them . . .

Hahahaha! That gave me a good laugh. Rep+1
Seriously though, how the hell do people do that? Also, nice Kira Kira avatar and sig. I was obsessed with that game when it was first released. I still can't believe that it made it all of the way to a translated iPhone app...that's nuts.
Anyhow, growing up in the 80s was so boss! We had the best cartoons, best toys and we actually played outside. :D

Those were some good times in the early 90s though. Just in terms of TV there was some nice quality in them. Now it's just sad. Seems like cheap laughs are all that they go for. Kind of liked those older series where you actually grew up with the cast.
I'm sure it ends up where every generation feels like they had it better in some ways. But I don't know think the 90s were pretty good. The games were still fresh, the shows were solid, and seems like they still had some new ideas left.

Hey thanks, I'm currently on a VN kick, especially Overdrive games. I have Edelweiss playing the the background plus Deardrops and Dengeki Stryker on my desktop, as well as the Edelweiss and KiraKira fan disks.

I don't know about the 80's since I born in 1989. So I vote 90's.
We played outside a lot. Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, soccer, tennis, etc.....
And if the waether was bad, I played with my legos a lot. Didn't have much, but even with my small set, I could play for hours and build a million different kind of crap, from cars to spaceships and even mechs. Damn I love lego.
I only watched tv for the morning cartoons and occaisonly a film or two, but most of them were late at night, so arround 8:30-9:00pm I was in bed sleeping like a log, because I was damn tired after playing 'till exhaustion.
Good days, good days.
