Project-H kickstarter for Vanilla Essence by Yamatogawa

I finally got my order in last week, but aside from Vanilla Essence itself I don't think the rest of the LE reprints are quite as nice as a Fakku release. Don't get me wrong: they're far superior to the original versions and I'm glad to have them, but between the matte dust jackets and the (ugly) PH ads in the back of the books, they just feel a bit... cheap, maybe? Or less impressive than I was hoping for?

For my part: yes, it was worth the wait. But no, I wouldn't sign up for it again unless they did something crazy like reprint them in full-color, hardback, over-sized editions.

The 2nd Editions should be identical to the ones that were offered as addons/put on sale at AX 2016.



It's just a stylistic thing. There's no difference.



They mentioned on the kickstarter the LE would be kickstarter exclusive.



If you're a fan of incest, the Yuzuki N' releases are quite good. Can't really think of any fantasy manga of theirs I'd recommend, but the mizuryuland stuff is A+ (just be aware they're fairly short doujinshi releases before putting down $15 or $20 on them).



Project H used to have some forums of their own but I think they got taken down when they moved to their new site. It's not like anybody really posted there anyway.

Only to fanboy post for a Nana to Kaoru english print. Which could be done since it ended somewhere in nov/dec.

I hit Project-H up on twitter to inquire and they said "we will have to see how many copies we have afterwards!" when I asked if they would add any LE Vanilla Essence copies to their store at a later date. So, if there are any leftovers, they may show up there. If so, hope I can snag a LE copy.



I'm indifferent to incest, it neither hurts nor helps my impression, but if the character designs are good and the story is decent I'm usually interested. I checked out Mizuryuland already and absolutely love it. That's exactly the kind of fantasy stuff I love to find. Put in an order for day 1 and 1.5 but sadly day 2 is out of stock in print on their store as of now. Do you know if they plan to add any more copies of day 2 later? Guess I'll ask on twitter and see what they say. Hope they will because I really dig the story and the no fucks given parody of Disney Land for adults lol. The MC Academy doujin series loos interesting as well.

Picked up my books from the customs office today and I'm happy to finally have them. One day I'll give my son my copy of "Witchcraft" and say "Son, you're old enough for hentai now, so let me introduce it to you with my favorite book of this genre." And then my wife shouts at me - for picking the book over one of Homunculus's works...

I bought 4 books from PH a couple weeks ago
still didn't arrived, so i can't say about the quality of the books itself (from there, i only have the first edition of Power Play)
but there is a thing that is worth mentioning:

international shipping price





the price is set at 20 bucks

for one book alone is on par with Fakku ( a little bit cheaper still)
but it kept the same price as i was adding more books


i know that they have more time in the market
but is fair to say that fakku has a bigger name already
so i think that is about time for you guys to get a better deal with the shipping companies!

Printers error? Or are these chapters supposed to be upside down?

Binder derp. Sheet was flipped when they bind them. Is it the adopted copy or the final copy one? Are the back page of those pages also flipped?

It was a final LE copy and both sides of about 16 pages had the pages upside down.

I have the standard edition and it is not upside down like that in my copy. As others have already said, you probably just got a dud. But, hey, at least it is one of a kind, right? lol

I'd hit Project-H up and let them know of the error if I were you, and they should send you a corrected copy I'd think.

Apparently they sent me two stickers as well.

One thing I noticed with the 2nd edition printings, is the books are different sizes. The Eros edition of Aquabless is taller than the PH one. I haven't compared too hard to see if the PH is compressed or what, but the original edition is about 1" taller.
