Runaway Toyota... NOT!

I'm tired of all those American idiots getting killed by their cars because they can't do a simple thing:
1. Hit the brakes! Even with the engine running you should be able to brake it to a standstill. Don't be gentle about it though since that way you'll grind the brake surface to a polished mirrored. Hit it hard and keep pushing!
2. Put the gear in neutral! Without a gear connection the motor can't push the car.
3. Switch off the engine...
...and in case you have a model that came with a fucking clutch: Push the clutch!...you're coasting.
Here's calm and collected version you can show to your mom:

One of the accident victims claims that the car would not allow them to put it in Neutral as if the ECU & computer for the Transmission was not accepting the command. Thus the put in Neutral thing might not work if the car is really running away on you.. Though Toyota does claim its not a Computer issue... So its hard saying + the Prius is a bad example. Not many of those have the issue.. The other thing is its so smart, that Toyota says the engine has a fail safe that if the gas pedal & accelerator are pressed at same time, the engine turns off..
Now as for having a GNX, the same thing could happen to you. Mind you it would be a freak accident, but it can happen to just about any car. Say you are driving along & with years & years of humidity & heat under the hood, your throttle return spring decides to break while your Throttle plate is half opened, OMG ! Now you can't control your throttle with the pedal & away the car goes, leaving you to burn up your brakes.

That first video was so well done, and I agree about the 50 in the fast lane, my damn Kia soul runs 70+ on the highway and I run into those morons way too much.

I saw this before and don't get it, are people sutting off their engines to save gas? Because it does save plenty of gas but a lot of cars disable power steering/brakes when you turn it off.
