Self Defense

So I was just curious...what counts as self defense?

I mean... would someone shoving you and you retaliating count as self defense? I never understood how that worked. Any lawyers or lawyer hopefuls or anyone in here want to shed some light?

As long as you yell "I FEEL THREATENED!" first... you can do what ever you want

To me, if they start it, you can do something either lesser or equal to what they did to you.

Self defense is pretty much getting the person to back down or be KO'ed. Anything past that level would be assault on your end.

If she/he punches you can fight back =]
