Shin Splints

After doing some reading, I concluded I may have messed up my shin/ankle permanently because I haven't had my shin heal.
Woe is me.
But forget about me, here are some boobs for you:

Wow, you actually did post boobs. Thanks. How did you mess up your shin?
I never joke about boobs.
I woke up with a pain one day. It's common in people that do running/football/hiking, and I usually play soccer or do some sort of running. I've had it for the past 2-3 months, and thought it would go away. It probably got worse because I was doing the "Insanity" workout for a month and a half before finals at school started getting in the way

I'm disappointed with the size of them.
Also, I hope your shin does get better. That sucks if it really is permanently damaged. Have you had it checked out?

Bigger or Smaller?
Can't. No insurance.

Repeated trauma to the connective muscle tissue surrounding the tibia. If an athlete starts running a lot after not running for a long period of time it puts stress on the muscles causing shin splints.Increasing activity, intensity, and duration too quickly leads to shin splints because the tendons and muscles are unable to absorb the impact of the shock force as they become fatiguedHope that explains it.
Tl;dr - Not exercising a lot, suddenly exercise a lot = stress on muscle tissue
Common in people who do a lot of running.
