Slice of Life

Quite interesting.
Some guy decided to put slices of trees onto a record player, and created a program to play notes according to the trees' rings.
So this eerie, cacophonous, and yet strangely soothing melody is what the life of a tree sounds like.

The Grey Knight :y
Symbolically, I suppose, since it's not exactly hooking up a tree slice onto a recorder. That'd just make ear-raping noises.
Interesting find, nevertheless.

Just sounds like a kid playing on a piano in a studio. You wouldn't know art when it slaps you in the face. Mistress Yoko would like to sing you a song

I only saw you display it when picking booze and cameras.

Old as fuck.
Pretty neat, I guess? But since it's just an image of a tree being pushed through a synthesizer I still can't be too impressed by it.

Keep in mind that the tree rings are being translated into the language of music, rather than sounding musical in and of themselves.
Meaning they just put music over a wooden circle spinning in a record player.
Wood grain doesn't have grooves that go in a consistent circle slowly going to the center - wood grain has knots that make it go all over the place.

You may have noticed the camera, instead of of a needle.
As it spins, the camera views the rings- as well as knots and other what-have-you- and plays notes in accordance with waves and concentration of colour.
If it should appeal to thy tastes more, you may imagine it as a slice of a dryad's leg.
