there in the next room.. im outside with my cousin drinking jack straight from the bottle eating dortios with nacho cheese... im drunk is fuck and needing a ride. I guess i should put the bottle down and sleep in the grass.. I want tacos and more whiskey though.

But I saw that vid I think it was yesterday with the train that used a twisted Unity engine.


Yep, i'm that same guy. I was going to post that to the video games board but I feel that no one over there like the horror genre on top of fully appreciating the efforts that go into making a game that digs into the players skin.

In short, I play games like I enjoy a fine wine.

The stairwell thread had a game that also used the unity engine. I found out later that it had allowed other devs to modify the original file with much more ease than most of the other engines [outside of Source]


That was Unity as well? I'm more than a little bit surprised. I guess that engine is much more versatile than I thought.


Yea, I thought this was just a iOS engine but damn, this thing covers the bases.
So maybe once I get a really good computer in. I'mma take a crack at this.

I have loads of ideas for games, but never the right setup to make them.
I think I'd try to make that fighting game I've always wanted to do. It's a cross between DoA, Killer 7, and Streets of Rage:

In this game, you are a supervillian [like how batman is a superhero, you're a gadgets guy] who terrorizes a city that has no hero. One day, a big shot superhero [with actual powers] jumps in the middle of you tearing the city hall a new one by blowing you [and everyone within a 10 block radius] straight to hell. The blast was powerful enough to reanimate your corpse over the span of a week.

During this time, the city is in the iron hand of the superhero. He went insane with his power and decided to claim the city as his bitch. Many heroes have tried, failed, [and then later consumed by said hero] to destroy the new evil that plagues the city.

The rest of the game teams you up with a scientist that helps you gain new movesets and powers through surgically attaching the body parts of people and heroes that you have killed over the course of the game. Another mechanic with the body parts is a system called the 'remainder' in which memories of the people you killed are imprinted into the body parts you own. So if there's a place you need the password to, just kill the person who has that information and attach that body part to you. Insanity also plays a role in this as well. You gotta take the negatives with the positives man. If things get a bit crowded, everything from hallucinations to ending up killing a ally could happen, it you fail to keep your mind in check between surgeries.

I've nearly mapped out how the insanity from the body parts work out. If you rip off a body part, that increases the insanity gauge since the most prominent thought that is embedded into that limb is the pain of it being ripped off. However there is a strength bonus to gain from doing this. [due to the action of intense struggling]. So yea the best way to avoid going off the deep end is to kill the npc, THEN take the limbs you need.

Once I get a good setup and the time to build this, it will happen. lol lots of people [irl that is] tell me things like this all the time. Writing out and creating things takes a lot of time.
