(I will, however, not comment on the contents of this specific CD. Just know.)

I haven't bought an actual CD in ages.
Been thinking about getting a vinyl player though.

Am I the only one who regularly buys CDs then?
I LIKE PHYSICAL THINGS OKAY.
I do. I'm not paying to download something that I don't technically own, in inferior quality, for the same price as physical, with no way (as yet!) of displaying it. When they invent holographic shelves, I might be tempted.

I only buy a case of CD's just for my bagels.
Brilliant. This is what I'm doing from now on. I have lots of empty CD/DVD towers that I haven't gotten rid of yet.
@Giz: I liked the songs, but not the movie, lol. And yes, I do buy CDs and even cassette tapes too, because some of the music I want is not downloadable. /hipster

I know it's not studio quality - we'll see that when Blu Ray drives become more ubiquitous and the discs cheaper - but with good hardware it's still noticeably superior to 320 MP3.

Cd's vs vinyl. Cd's vs dvd audio. Cd's vs mp3.
Let's say you have four copies on each album. Vinyl sounds better than CD. Not one the numbers front but how the ears hear the analog sounds. We're analog beings. The brain converts a digital noise into physical wavelengths. there a warmth to the lp pop and white noise.
Dvd audio has a vast sampling rate:

Sound quality is far superior to cd's.
Mp3... mmmm still less space then the cd matrix. Same quality of the cd-da. Free. Still a function of digital to analog.
You can only tell the difference if you focus on the sounds and not the music. The same with everything. You only notice the slight differences if you focus on the base and not what it saying. The clash sounds the same on all four media.

Good point well made. Use of DVDs for audio is interesting. Vinyl sounds better, sure, but it's a trade-off for portability and ease of access. I still like CDs just from a collector's point of view, but if I had the money I'd invest in vinyls too.

Ha yeah, I'd agree the movie was pretty poor - I never even fully saw it until years later, but my sister always forced me to watch the show and I developed a reluctant love for it.
Next time I should bring a walkman to listen to CDs before I buy - there are a ton of late '90s~early 2000s rave/electronic albums that look like a ton of fun.
