Apparently, aeria brought the US rights for the MMO but then changed the name for some reason that wasn't clearly explained.

There is a item that you can get that 'unlocks' the lingerie that your character is wearing [supposedly to allow them to equip other lingerie but honestly you know exactly what this will be used for.]

Played a little of it. Tits and ass are its real appeal. Other than that, it's really just another action MMO.

I have overheard a few times that the combat is a bit boring.
Could you expand on your experiences with the game please?

Well, I started with the long-range sniper class. Not much to it, really. You aim, you select a shot skill, you kill shit. Typical kill quests at first (I didn't really play that much).

What bothers me, though, is that it feels like there was no real effort put into the game other than to make it and the players look pretty. When you start off, you have to choose one of two opposing factions, but a friend tells me that there's really no difference between them, except in dialogue.

One thing that did strike my interest is how the world there actually works. Your character isn't really "you", per se, like in so many MMOs. She's actually her own character, being "coordinated" by a higher power; controlled and guided by someone unseen. The player him or herself, in other words. It's a fresh change of pace that you don't see in MMO design, honestly.

It's not, actually. It's probably because of that Aeria Games changed the name to Scarlet Blade in the US, because it has nothing to do with the Queen's Blade that we all know of.

I don't like scarlet blade, women in it look too fake.

The models are so low res you can see the polygons. Plus, their barbie faces are the very definition of uncanny valley. I don't like it. It's just a porn game with generic mmorpg gameplay thrown in.

as for the faces, that I can agree with. But that is only for a few of the options, the other faces look fine.

The gameplay... um its a bit overly generic the only standout so far is the story.

there's even a little easter egg quest called "Queen's Blade" where you kill these spider woman that are "Queen's" and they're all really hot

I played it and well, it's kinda lonely when there's no friends to play with.

Which is like the main issue I face on most MMOS I give a shot.

I can see where you are coming from.

I have only went into 3 mmos solo. Altel [well before they made the switch over to a different company [and I lost all of my alpha and beta stuff.. yea..] Phantasy Star Online [I later joined up with a guild] and Hawken [though due to the nature of that game, I feel it was designed for the player to meet new people through the matches since as of this post, it wasn't made very clear as to how to join your friends matches]

It's fun even when you solo on LaTale.

But anyway, I did loved my character on Scarlet Blade, she was cute... or so I made her out to be...
