Because they feel it belittles their intelligence when they've lost the argument. People don't like the fact of getting 'owned'.

I'm actually trying to get a feel for why people are automatically offended on this site whenever anything is said. I can understand if a comment is offensive... but here people become offended with simple, basic statements. This thread has helped my understanding a bit... though I still don't fully understand the issue.

But, I have to admit that's it's quite sad to see how it terrible it has become since its creation roughly sixty years ago. It literally went from being something groups of intellectuals used to transfer important info to one another to help come up with stuff that made the world better...to an e-diary/pissing ground for retards with a shorter vocabulary than the average preschooler in a little over half of a century.

And, when I start to think about how it will be in the future, it really makes me wonder if I should ever try to put faith in humanity again.

We can do this the simple way but I prefer to keep it complicated. No fears and no hope they have been terminated. Survival of the fittest while the weaker get diagnosed. Cancerous epidemics spreading like common colds.... No hopes n no dreams huh? Ruthless! No cares and no fears huh? Ruthless! No hopes n no fears huh ? Ruthless ! I'm useless cuz I'm ruthless...

You will find the internet attracts idiots and thusly there will be alot of people who are unutterably wrong in their reasoning. But it is more fun to argue with the mentally deficient, because the argument has the possibility of lasting a VERY LONG TIME, if not indefinitely~

This is appealing to me, because most of the time. the topics that spark the most arguments are most often the ones with no right or wrong answer. Merely a difference in point of view.

I am not saying all arguments are sparked by idiots. Some are sparked by different ideals and experience's. Nobody is really wrong, it is just the amount of information available to their (often uneducated) minds~

But to continue my wall of text. People even if they know they are wrong, will continue for the sake of debate. That is the core of all idea's and learning.

Not forgetting the people who do not like the idea of losing~

BUT, that will never happen. Humans as a species are selfish and destructive with and overly large opinion of themselves. Each and every one of us thinks ourselves superior in one way or another.

Getting along with everyone is just not an option with the current ways of human thinking.
