I think some users are recognized by their usernames and can change their avi often while other users are recognized by their avi. I'm not too sure what category I fall into since people still remember my old user name from like a year or so ago, but I don't really change my avi anymore.

I don't know if I'm bias, because I had tonnes of forum experience before this, or if half the people are dumb for not actually seeing there are certain sections for their threads and/or using the search function on either the forum or google.
It has nothing to do with experience. This site is technically my first forum.
