I started seeing this new product in my facebook feed. I've never seen Soylent Green, but I know it's made of people. WTF?

Humans taste of beef anyway so unless you get told you're eating human flesh you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I don't see the problem. Quite frankly, it'd be better if they had a green version. Just sneak it there on St. Patrick's Day or something.

I've actually tried this product for a few months. It doesn't have any flavor, so I just used coffee creamers. I'm starting back up on it next month because I noticed a significant change in my mood and energy levels. Also, its nice not to have to worry about cooking.

wasnt there some shit like Soylent Shake which is pretty much just a ton of nutrient powders mixed with water to provide you "with all the shit you need over the day"?

The guy behind Soylent(Rob Rhinehart) used to have a blog back when he developed it that I followed, funny stuff as he was pretty much his own labrat, mixing with proportions and paying for it dearly when getting it wrong.
I'd gladly try it out, and probably will once they start shipping it over here. The ~$100(powder) - ~$200(drinks) pricetag for a months supply is harsh though.

well, the 100 for a month are technically your groceries for the time, which might run cheaper or at least break even.
I use about 10 to 20 for a week and thats usually bare minimum stuff.

There's a few "optimized meal" options out there. Soylent is probably the most popular (to the point where I don't think you can actually even buy it anymore. Trying to buy it just puts you on a year-long waiting list.) but another one I've seen is "Meal Squares". Honestly the concept is pretty appealing to me. I really enjoy eating good food but sometimes I just don't have the means/will to get it so I'd rather just eat anything. Instead of eating some cup noodles or a bag of chips or whatever the idea of having a nutrient brick/meal shake is an appealing alternative.

Yeah, Me and my partner spend around $200-$250/monthly on groceries(For the two of us, and while we go out of our way to make that budget work, we eat very well.) and while I guess the pricetag for Soylent is pretty reasonable; if I am to live on gruel for a month I'd prefer it to be cheaper than the alternative. Well, I'll probably try one of the smaller packages out and exchange my daily lunch for it once they start shipping to the EU.
