I thought he was more troubled, actually. So long as I'm remembering correctly, weren't some of the Doctor's more deep-seated guilts and such shown in the past couple seasons?

Tim, our lead engineer, likes to snort Moonstone, a highly illegal narcotic and incredibly addictive. But it has the nice perk of the user not suffering from withdrawal symptoms for extended periods of time used in moderation. The last time he took some was about 2 years ago, I believe.

Anyway, while he's under the influence of his Moonstone fix, usually taken while we're in Cryosleep, he gets this strange urge to pilot our ship. At times like this, he has the mind of a small human child and thinks the disintegration ray mounted to the bottom of the ship is a pencil, and a field of wheat is paper.

You can figure out the rest.

Thankfully our on-board autopilot prevents any major disaster. The A.I, who we lovingly call "Patricia", cloaks the ship and turns the distintegration setting to "Pleasantly warm" rather than "No mercy for the puny race".

The worst we've ever gotten from a "Moonstone moment", well I can't really say. It drove some of your populace mad though, and I hear some of you humans have spotted us in the past, which you can blame Tim for. Luckily the humans who spot us usually look in-bred by human standards so nobody believes them.
