My mom wants me to buy a new laptop for some reason, even though I already have one, but she's paying for it so why not.
Anyway, suggest me a laptop that is below $1000. I had a look around, but nothing really caught me in the eye. I know you people are good with computers, especially Windows. So, help me this time, pretty pleaseeeee.

You don't need an extra. I'll even pay for shipping.

I wasn't going to say anything at first out of fear of not being much help, but you posted a cute picture, so I have to try.
One thing I could say is that there are a few G series you can find for under a grand if you shop online (which I question if you mother is doing), Like this one but the graphics card in that one might not be up to snuff for things that require tons of resources (Though it works fine for most games with settings altered accordingly).
Might I ask what you would be using it for? Are their any brands you greatly like/dislike for any reason? Knowing that could help with the suggestions.

Do you plan on buying a gaming one?
Also, I find Asus and Acer good.
If you want, you could also get a Mac because reasons. lol

Assignments, and a few VNs probably. I've got a console, so I won't be gaming much from there apart from doing VNs.
I don't have any specific brand that I like, but I wouldn't wanna have a Lenovo, I have terrible experience with Lenovo.

Well, it's not my main reason, but while at it, I wanna have one that can play VNs.
And nope, currently using a Mac. Why the heck would I need two Macbooks?

They make an 800 dollar variant of it.

If you'd rather use up as much of the budget without going over it, I'd recommend this. It has a great projected battery life, and all of it's components would be fine for any VN and Most games if you decide to bring it around and play in places other then your house. It also comes with a pretty good 500Gb internal storage.
If you'd want to save on the budget and still get something good, you should go with the one I had in the previous post, or similar.
Is there any part of this laptop you wouldn't like, or things you'd rather it have?
