I installed the latest CCCP and it works wonders. The only problem is I can't play mp4. It totally mess it up. I tried playing transformer3.mp4(1080) No sounds, fucked up frame rate, and crashes my apps. Well that happened in my case.
EDIT; I usually use Mpcstar or VLC. I have never use CCCP before.
To me that sounds like other codecs conflicting with cccp codecs to just a cluster fuck of shit running in the background that create poor performance or something running trying to decode the audio and video that isn't suppose to. I can't be sure really. CCCP can play mp4 easily. Try uninstalling your other codecs and then reinstalling cccp and rebooting.
For those of you that use vlc, I wouldn't suggest it unless its your only option but I think you have to get the nightly build for 10-bit support. For mac and linux I think the latest mplayer (SVN or stable idunno) but I'm not too sure about that.
Also don't use coreavc because they like to release 3.0 of products with shit still broken hence they will provide poor playback for 10-bit releases as of this time.
Remember when everyone moved from xvid to h264? I hear this same thing happened. We got over it eventually.
