Thanksgiving for the loner

Had today and yesterday off, but still exhausted from the last four days prior. They had me do two weeks' worth of training on top of my regular schedule.

Fuck a fully cooked turkey

and then buy a full Pumpkin pie and eat the whole thing

Sounds rushed for the holidays. Don't exhaust yerself too much.

Well, our head bartender just transferred to another store and we've been short bartenders for about a year. Plus my bar manager looked me in the eye a couple weeks ago and said that she wanted me to be up there by Thanksgiving and that I would more likely than not be cleared for overtime.

Whelp. GL. That's all I can say.

I've never been one for the theoretical traditional turkey dinner...it always seemed like a whole lot more work than it was worth, but I totally admit I just am not that big into most of the foodstuffs typically involved.
So, instead I'm making pizza in my typical holiday fashion: themed, and possibly to look like something.
We're doing a "harvest" pizza with some baby potatoes, corn, other vegetables/fruit. Not sure what to make the "mural" into though...was thinking like a pseudo cornucopia or something. I'll figure it out later.
Second pizza we've got some ground turkey and turkey sausage that we're thinking of trying to make into a turkey picture...so turkeyception apparently.

It's just another day, so just do whatever you want. If you're lucky enough to have the whole day off, enjoy it. :)
