Anyone ever watch end of eva? You know that sad hole in your chest? What other movies do that?

Evangelion?
I feel like I'm one of the few who has still yet to watch it.

if you haven't seen it just hold out, the look on people faces when you tell them you haven't seen it is probably worth it.

I didn't feel emptiness when I finished Eva. Mostly disdain towards Anno and a quench for tang.

It was just another movie. No special feeling about finishing all of Eva.maybe its just the english major in me, but that movie was dark and soul sucking. Never have i felt so empty after finishing any piece of media

As someone who use to try and find meaning into everything, EVA was pretty shallow. I've always found it sad that people point to it when trying to play up the mediums strength for storytelling.

Nope. I was happy when that shit was over.Who fixed it? This post represents everything that is midlife crisis. Of course when you're 30 no anime will have a strong impact on you. I remember after i watched it in the early 10's i had to go outside to get some fresh air and collect myself.

You mean the feeling that you'll greatly miss a series when it's over?
Two did that to me: Azumanga Daioh and more recently Oshiete Galko Chan.
Silly SOLs with lovable characters, what can I say?
in the same breath let me bash EVA in this thinly veiled Eva-hate thread
it's overrated.

Whilst I do enjoy eva, the ending didn't really leave me anything but more disdain for shinji. EVEN MORE THAN NORMAL.
If you like shounen and cliches but also having your feels crushed, watch guilty crown. I expected something completely different
