My dorm + tuition totaled over 20k. Only tuition and other fees is around 10k. Right now I rent out my apartment for only 250 a month but that is going to increase to 450 since I am losing a roommate. So 2k for this year for apartment and 4k for apartment next year. Of course dorm includes food also but that is some expensive ass food for the quality. Much better to make it yourself if possible or some cheap food like McDonald or Subway or whatever. Just make sure to find some parttime job that nets you around 500 a month and you are good.

Oh yea I forgot to include food and utilities, but that is somewhere around $100-300 a month depending how thrifty you are and how little you splurge.
