Actually, that could even be considered as a request as well.

Here's what I suggest you do...

Create the "topic" at the General discussions board and update it each time you need new recommendations or consultations. (as simple as that) :)

Frankly, it's your call. But since you're asking my opinion, I still believe that such a topic is more suited to be at the General section. Though I do think that "one thread" is enough; in case you'd need to consult other members again... a poll isn't really that necessary. It's way better to hear the thoughts of others through their recommendations rather than just basing it on the most voted one in the list. :) - you could easily calculate it manually anyway without a poll.

Okay I just realized I said my question wrong,what I meant to say was I'm deciding between 4 series atm that look good (I only want to buy one),but I'm not sure which one to buy.That's why I'm adding a poll and wanting to know from people which one they think I should buy.

you're missing my point which is pretty much applicable in any case. I can understand that from your previous post and what I'm saying is that the topic could still serve its purpose with or without a poll in it. You could just mention the "4 anime titles you're having a tough time choosing from" in a list and ask the people which one do they think is most worthy of being bought or something along those lines. :)
