The future is quite unsettling and confusing.

Never really understood that; he was a nobody, barely a mention in pop culture discussion and his show was just a reality version of Crocodile Dundee. Then the man dies and becomes a pop icon. He never really did anything spectacular, other than die on the job. When the guy who cures cancer gets hit by a bus, then I'll host a candlelight vigil.

Watch the movie Idiocracy to know where the future is headed. We're pretty damn close already. I'd say about 59% or so there as a rough estimate.
Actually intelligence quotients are on the rise. That movie is a horrible flimsly disguised argument for Eugenics

Nah, he was a pretty cool guy. He had a tv show which was on tv every week or so, and it was awesome. Although, I didn't really feel much when he died... It was kinda expected. Although, I was expecting a croc that he pissed off to get him, not a ray, that was just confused and unsettled

Your qualification for "pretty cool guy" was that he was on tv? So the kids on Jersey shore?

Did you ever watch his show? I watched it growing up and it was just so cool. I mean, the guy would just do whatever with all kinds of dangerous animals all the while trying to make sure his crew was safe .

Don't get me wrong, I dont dislike the guy, I simply don't think he deserved all the fanfare he got because of his death. Same could be said for Heath Ledger, good actor that was fucking spectacular in the dark knight but would never have been this big a deal had he not died. I just don't celebrate mediocrity.

As I said, I didn't think of him much more when he died, I didn't care much when he died. I loved his tv show though, cause, it was awesome to watch. Call me boring, it just was to me.
And to answer your question about jersey shore: Fuuuuck no. Kill them with fire.
Other people I'd consider cool guys would be the topgear presenters.
But meh. As for heath ledger; I liked his acting anyway. I do love a knights tale, much to the disliking of the wife (huehuehue) But yeah, I agree that he did get more of a reception/ fanbase kinda thing when he died... But that seems to be the way it goes. Lots of musicians died, and suddenly got famous (If I'm remember correctly)
But yeah... stuff
