Personally, I don't see what the big deal is about ImperialX (or anyone else liking macs, apple or the iPad). This whole scenario reminds me of atheist who have to deal with Christians trying to make them into believers and vice versa (Atheist trying to make Christians doubt god). If you don't like what someone else is interested in that's fine, but why make a big deal out of it...?

Ming got that money from investing in Apple stocks. It seems like the most logical thing to do being the mac enthusiast that he is.

I see that you remember the shares I bought back in January. I said then, that all that iPad hating will pay off. We're on stage 4 now, and I'm happy to say I earned enough money to buy an iPad and a new MacBook Pro. :D

AAPL is the best possible thing to invest in, since you can pretty much predict their shares, like I described in those 4 stages. All their products get flamed to death upon introduction, making the shares tank. Then when the product actually releases, and people actually start using it, they realizes it's fantastic and then shares boom.

You can't do this with any other company since there's not a single company on the planet that attracts as much publicity and is as hated as Apple. AAPL is the only share that you can accurately predict every single time.

Yeah, you're right. It pretty much is internet culture, not just Fakku. However, I'm seeing it more on Fakku now, than any other time.

I won't deny it. Buying shares in Apple is always going to end up a good thing. If i had the cash too, i would invest into Apple knowing that they will bring me money.

Sure i don't like the way Apple gets its money with their overpriced products, but who can say no to money? Even though i wouldn't ever use that money to buy an Apple product.

Though if i had to choose i would actually take shares in Google. Or gold for that matter of fact.

Time to start playing the stock market.

I'm not thrilled about the idea of the iPad, I really don't think it's worth it's money. I'm not going to hold anyone accountable who buys one though, after all - they help me keep my job.

I think the reason the internet is getting such a laugh at the iPad is simply how it was marketed. I think it's ridiculous with how they spoke about the iPad. Changing the internet forever, a revolutionary piece of technology. You don't have to change for the iPad, the iPad changes for you.

All that is brings smiles to peoples faces, because if anybody knows anything about technology, they would know it was nothing but a large iTouch.

That being said, that doesn't make the iPad not fun. It's a large touch screen that lets you play around with various things. It's a neat item, but not worth $700 imo.

Congrats on getting one, I think most people are just pissy because they couldn't afford one.

Killed the ipad first gen.. sold it for a a 360 and a asus slate plus 200$... sold the 360 for a i3 and amd x4.. sold the x4 installed in a compaq craplap for 150+50$... still have the slate.
