well this sucks now things like Oshikake Riot will be in a cliffhanger forever unless someone else picks them up

Question is why are they not going after other groups? Something seems fishy when only tllp was targeted and taken down. Shouldn't they go after Fakku for having their works translated and uploaded as well?

According to the millenium international copyright act, they can come after us as if we were committing the crime in japan, plus their US license holders can sue us as well, trust me i examined everything, they can prosecute us as if we were in japan according to international copy right laws that were amended. Its either comply or fight it in court and face penalties which amount to fines, court law suits and a host of other shit according to my lawyer, we complied and as well wrote a letter of apology for our alleged actions, we respected their wishes we cant fight something this big
On the same vein they contacted you they could shut down literally every other single team off the face of the internet. Videogame translators, anime, non-h manga (you know a thing or two about that too). As I said, gehentai gets DMCA takedown notices quite often and they do not care. When they get a request from a publisher not to upload stuff on their site (see: Lilith eroge, Linda material) they comply.
The only reason that makes me think they attacked you first is you were fast, maybe too fast. You put more works out in a year than many teams together in two or three.

these a-holes think their NDAs will save them from hate.
I want a list of all groups who would shut down groups like LLP.
If there isn't a name to point the blame to then I blame all, many fuck yous and offensive words will be emailed.

I am just curious as to who actually blew the whistle on you. Chances are it isn't because they are happy with what you guys do. I can't help but be cynical when money and unscrupulous people are involved.
Nevertheless, thanks for all the work. I understand the fear of standing up to big powers with so little resources. I just fear where we are going next in this world that's so fixated on profiting at all cost that a group of non-profit volunteers can get so much heat.

I am not I as appear
@Paracelsus:
Just a thought.
doujin moe is based in Japan if I am not mistaken and as they are a business with staff and payroll and income they must file and pay taxes in Japan
I( think biting the hand that feed you would probably be the reason they do so much and get away with it. Just my not so humble opinion you understand.
RIP TLLP only the good die young
P
On a bleaker note (Not that any of us go there) MangaFox must have been hit with the same thing. If you go on the site Virtually. every manga they have listed now has the "xyz" manga has been licensed and is no longer available on Manga Fox message.

Even if that was the case, Japanese IPs are banned on doujin-moe, so technically they are selling their stuff to the westerners exclusively. That and either way they are working on pirated hentai. I also believe Japan is a lot harsher on pirates from their own country (see: Jail) than foreigners, and that quite a few members from that site are from the USA.

I'll dearly miss you all and your hard work in scanlating/traslating.
I dunno WHY they are prosecuting you all: I mean, I get when they prosecute people that get paid to work on original work -like Naruto or bleacj-, that's taking away work from the printing house, but this... I mean, who in their right mind would think to traslate and sell outta japan DOUJINSHI of all thing? No one would do it.
Raw? Sure, I know half a dozen of site that sell the ORIGINAL RAW outta the nippon land. That's gain for the printing house. But no one in Japan will ever sit down to traslate and print the doujinshi.
Again, I'll miss you all. I just wish this quandry wont affect your future.
Best of the luck, ma boys and girls.
Best of the luck and godspeed.

T'is a shame, TLLP did great work and I can do nothing but thank you guys for all the time and effort spend.
You rule!

Because otherwise it simply makes no sense that they would specifically go after TLLP?
I mean, seriously going after scanlators for stuff that isn't even already licensed, that's crazy, and given the whole doujin culture, I agree that it seems even unlike what Japanese would do.
This reeks of American or European interests, if not I fear for all groups, hentai or non-h.
You rule!

And thus DMCA and Copyright laws silence another brilliant team. I am deeply saddened by this as TLLP always uploaded great series and most of my favorite hentai.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to find a building to flip because a simple table cannot alleviate the anger and sorrow I have right now. T^T
Hope you all can possibly form something else in the future.

But really, the letters were directed directly to the TL group, Lusty Ladies, right?
They aren't opposed to any other groups in specific... therefore....
**... implies you start the Lusty Gentlemen group or something.
