If you want a bounty on your head then yes, yes you can. Well, sadly you can't kill ALL NPC's some are integral to the plot so they are only temporarily knocked unconscious, and it's impossible to harm children. But if you want you can indeed slaughter an entire town...kinda what I did to test out my werewolf powers XD

you still can save it regularly though.
some of the autosave is just for when you died,you'll respawn at the autosave point.
that's why sometime before i make a big decision,i save the game.
