Well the gameplay is simple, and the previous part of the series (X-blades) sucked. But i guess its also about personal preference.
I do know that the areas look great and the game is swiftly and short-while =)

But Amalur got that Skyrim-like adventure and a gameplay like dynasty warriors... But actually I like the world of AMalur more since it's much more magical than Skyrim that was a little bit too... Err... Real.

Haha you're right... And with this I have bought like 3 games in a few weeks without yet having to spend more than 3 hours for each of them.
