for lecturer it's depends on the lecturer him/herself,different lecturer have a different regulation,some didn't even care what we wears~

well for security I don't know well about it,rarely pass one on my way to campus~

Well, not always. In Western Europe there are plenty of schools that use uniforms...though it *is* becoming rarer. My home country did actually try to get everyone to wear uniforms, but it was a very unpopular law, and they had to let each school decide if to implement it.

...Is that so? There were a lot of badly-dressed people in my school, but no-one in slippers or shorts. Actually, it's mostly people in Uni that I see doing it.

Well, depending on lecturer I guess...ours don't really mind the clothes. They tend to focus rather on the stuff that students bring. Like laptops.

well,I believe that most of Asian country have a strict rules,but I think when enter the Univ it's a lot more free than when studying in HS~
you can wear anything you like,bring anything you like,drink some water or eat some snacks(as long as the lecturer don't mind and you don't disturb the class)~
sometimes I bring my PS Vita to my class,and plays or browsing using phone when bored~

The only rule here is no flip flop kind of slippers, you know, the kind you wear to the bathroom or beaches. Dont want people coming to class like they're going on a holiday in hawaii. Since people are wearing shorts and stuff already, since it's always so hot in this place.

Some higher up even wanted to ban shorts above knee in classes, saying its sloppy for boys and too sexy for girls. Apparently it didnt work out in the end because nobody wants to wear pants all the time.

But there's too much important stuff being said during it. Our uni is really strict for some reason...nuuuuu, my plan of lazing around for entire studies was ruined!!!

Hmmm, the only time my uni actually bothered to check our clothes was during the opening ceremony, when we had to all come in very formal wear.

But my suit is cool, so it was 'kay.
Except for the really uncomfortable shoes. Second time, I managed to skip it though.

Lectures are expensive, you should listen to them. I always try to act as if Im paying attention even if its boring, so the lecturer can give me high marks for good impression.

We don't get marked on lectures though.

Instead, we get tests in our seminars, which are usually based on the material being done in the Lectures. In fact, you aren't even forced to attend Lectures....but then, you miss out on everything.
