I'm never good at cheering anyone up... If anything, I made a total mess yesterday and made someone pissed with my lame somekind-of-jokes when they wanted to be cheered up....

I dont know what happened, but if you atleast tried to make things work out afterwards, you shouldnt be that hard on yourself anymore. You cant keep feeling bad for all your holidays long, ya know =(

I agree with asa that you are being too hard on yourself. But as I have learned, some people do not view friendship the same as me. As my friend, I'd appreciate that you tried to cheer me up when I was low. Even if you said something inappropriate, I'd know that you didn't do it on purpose.
