Well I started on old gen games...so...I think if you have a ps1 or ps2 emulator on your pc you can play some nice rpgs there.
I play my old ps/ps2 games on my pc(converting it into iso) since my ps2 died years ago.
Final Fantasy games are a good start I guess...it's my first rpg.

I only play games after I finish a stack of papers so I can only play for about an hour and a half then rest and back to square one now...
