I didn't like the set rule. He kept calling no on my chances to get the sixth claim because uhh... you didn't watch anime and was waiting till all the episodes are out? Maybe a set would work because both Harime Nui and Ryuuko uses part of the scissor wep? But no, he has to wait fucking months before he lets me know if that is valid. How the fuck is that my problem, that's his fucking shitty fault for not watching/researching to see if certain sets are worth validating.
I don't have enough bitches in my harem. Maybe I'll divorce one and claim you.
Complaining won't change anything.
You're a terrible host.

I liked reclaim but now that I think of it, it's not really fair.Very true, but it could also be argued from the other side that it would be very reassuring to be able to reclaim a waifu you really really love. Which is what made me think of the "permanency" waifu rule.

I was doing Waar a favour since Art wasn't able to take the helm. I had plenty of time, since it was the holidays- but things at work have gotten a lot more hectic since then. I'm pulling 12-14 hour days. It takes its toll.
I can't alter the way I live my life in order to satisfy your needs.

Then don't make a shit rule that needs you to make people wait for an entire fucking season.

I was not a fan of the claim sets idea in the last game, and while I wont outlaw it(as it's not my place anymore) I may not pick someone based on the rules they wish to enact in their game.
I viewed the idea as against the spirit and purpose of the game, giving those with friends or people who make alliances the advantage.
If you want to think up new ideas, think of things that are in line with the original spirit of the game; greed and jealousy, a game where you step over the corpses of your friends and enemies as you earn the waifu you love, the waifu you deserve.

For example:
Say the Waifu game is going as it usually does, and during some point in the middle of the third round, you invalidate all of the second round picks. No one can claim for about the next 24hrs after this is announced. But during those 24 hours, the person who is hosting the game can rattling off some other thing to add to the intensity (i.e. Invalidating all claims up to that point, or not allowing a specific waifu to be claimed until such-and-such a time, or even any waifu from some certain anime/game/manga/ect until the next round). After the 24 hours are up it's a free-for-all (meaning the host doesn't say when). In the case where the host invalidated all claims up to that point, everyone would be able to claim 3 characters at once. Albeit, it'll be harder to keep track of and would be more frustrating for more people, but it'll give you the greed element. There will always be that jealousy when you see people claiming a waifu you really wanted. So those two bases are covered.
Of course, there are a limit to the extra things the host can do during that 24hrs to spice up the game, as they can't make up an NTR rule, or violate any of the other ground rules of the game. And they'd be limited to only one extra "flavoring" of spice.
Just a thought that I wanted to voice.

Id be more inclined to add something like the host takes a large list of popular series and uses a random number generator to invalidate a couples of series from being picked for a round or the first few hours of a round... its not a terrible idea but it needs to be polished.

I'm thinking it would be better to inverse that. The host chooses a X number of anime/manga/games/etc (depending on the number of women present in the material correlates to the magnitude of X), and then people would have to make a claim from those sources for whichever round the host brings it in at.

My Idea was to put a 24 hour time on it at least before you could claim via pairs. To cause some butt hurt I would make a character usable in a pair only once. For example if someone Claimed Tohsaka Rin and Sakura Matou as a sister set, then no one could claim a set based on the main Fate heroine set as two of them have already been used.

Meaning that if you came in during the 3rd round, you'd have to claim 3 characters over the course of 72 hours? How devilish of you. But that's the beauty of that. It's a very good idea to implement. The same goes for the set idea, but Waar doesn't want that rule to be included.

So many ideas, I'm lost. I'm just gonna wait until the host is selected and the rule is final.

When is the next waifu game? Depends on the time I might be able to host it... If allowed of course. And, the species rule will also work with clones, like Misaka Imouto from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. You can't claim ALL of the clones, and you can only marry clones that have significant role in the anime/manga/novel.
I would love to have sixth waifu rule for old fags back though... Maybe something like 'for people who already joined at least 5 games before'?
I like the current rules, why not have both? So someone can have 7 waifus. I don't think it makes much differences anyhow.
7 is way too much. Fakku is one of the site that's quite loose with the waifu games. Many other sites only allow 1 waifu, or 3 max.
I like '5, but with 1 addition as a bonus' thing.
I'm also kinda against the old user 7 Waifu thing, mainly because lots of people made profiles as soon as Fakku updated the profile system, leaving them with only 2 Waifu games at most .

Could also bring back reclaims, in the form of a lotto. I got some ideas on how that should be ran, but it isn't up to me. And even if you don't want to do a lotto, it's still a viable option.
I liked reclaim but now that I think of it, it's not really fair.[/quote]
As much as I love the good old Random Number Generator, it can be quite aggravating and to me the Waifu Games can be competitive but not frustrating, especially because of luck

It isn't the fact that people didn't like them, it's the fact that they are rough ideas that need to be polished a lot before being implemented.

When I suggested it ages ago- people were throwing a shitfit. And I wasn't even running for host or anything.

Well, the only thing I can say is that the times change. Even if it has only been a couple years since then.
