I've been bitten by worse things, but you should get gum, it's a lot more chewierable.

Nope, by all means go ahead. I stick to pen caps myself. Metal tastes funny.

Well, the reason blood is red is from the oxydised iron. Same as red soil. I'm not sure what makes it blue without oxygen.
