At the flashbacks you would cry but him getting stabbed to fucking death will make you laugh because he deserved that and more. Death was too good for him...

If you haven't watched it, watch Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (Rumbling Hearts). Sad anime and a good romance too.

They both are set in the present.

There have only been 3 anime that has succeeded in this feat. Others might have made me tear up, but not outright tears coming out my eye. Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (Rumbling Hearts) made me so depressed afterwards...
