@Zero, a recon drone with a gun sounds interesting though it doesn't seem to handle the recoil that well. Perhaps using a smaller calibre or maybe subsonic rounds.

StG 44, the Sturmgehwer 1944 was quite an advanced weapon for its time. The first assault rifle to be used in numbers, though not the first assault rifle invented. The StG 44 still lives on though through Hekler and Koch's G3 which was made from a Spanish Battle Rifle that used a system based on the StG 44's.

As we all should probably know, Heckler and Koch makes more than just the G3, though many of their firearms are based on the G3's design like the MP5, PSG-1, HK43 and HK21.

Second. About that drone.

The gun could be a submachine gun, either KRISS Vector (9x19mm) or H&K MP5-N (9x19mm) from our current equipment. But could be something else.
And about the quadrotor. Im thinking about making those rotors detachable. Otherwise its too large to carry.

yes, the KRISS is renowned for it's asymmetric recoil system. I think that'd be the most suitable choice. And good idea on making the rotors detachable, not only would it make it easier to carry but maintenance would be easier.
