I always wonder if all those lads playing "IMMA BEEG SNIPA GUY" would still want to be snipers if they'd know what it actually is all about. -.-

I use to wana be a sniper, thought it was cool... Then I looked up and saw what it was actually out...

Needless to say, I changed my mind quick ^_^;

I remember reading an article once about how being a sniper was about the most mentally shitty job you could do in the army unless you were a complete sociopath - since you frequently look at people face right as you are about to kill them. And in era when most rifles lob high-velocity rounds....yeah, it ain't pretty.

I also remember that people today make overall worse soldiers, not in terms of abilities but mental endurance, since modern societies frown at killing; army is essentially an organized killers guild. The training is supposed to iron this out, but doesn't always work out, or works out too well. By comparison, older societies generally accepted some instances of "murder", or at least glorified war to a grater extent then it is possible today.

Regardless of how true it is, it does make one think.

Yep. Today there are no "western" type countries that would glorify the war. War is undesiered but acceptable in some situations in Koran, basic part of communist ideology and only solution in the words of those twisting what Muhammad created in name of Allah.

Meh...I kinda already knew being a Sniper was one of the worst jobs, I just didn't think we would be taking it that seriously.


But regardless, I'll look for another job if it's a problem or anything.

Yeah. It's funny (in absurd, horrible-sort of the way) then how willing some Western governments are to resort to it if it secures their interest.

Now that I think about it again, it was also referred to in Muv Luv Alternative, if in slightly different flavoring.

Welp im gonna practice sniping, since it isnt my strongest side.
