Kamp Kuzma: The Operators' Campgrounds (For Operating)

This looks really interesting and more nifty than our new CZ 805 BREN. For what I heard there is a problem with plastic composites but the feel of the gun itself is really good.
For Modular weapon system of 5.56mm caliber (rough translation my Polish isn't much)it seems like an interesting design especially in it's configurations are interesting and I'd like to see this baby in action.

China recently seems to be improving on quality while still maintaining a high level of quantity. And its seen with their recent development of weapons like the QBZ-95 (better known as the Type-95) which to me has a very unique and somewhat attractive design but that may just be me.
The AMR-2 and JS-05 are also nice firearms from China, anti-material sniper rifles taking 12.7x108mm. The QBU-88 (Type-88) is another one which has been a favorite of mine in a few games like Operation Flashpoint: Red River and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, designed to work in conjunction with the Type-95 to the extent that it can even load the same round as the 95, now if only they made an export version to take in NATO rounds like they did with the Type-95(Export variant named Type/QBZ-97).
They've also developed two interesting SMGs, the Type-05/JS-9mm, taking 5.8x21 and 9x19mm Parabellum respectivelty. The JS-9mm is used by the Police while the Type-05 is used by the PLA and has a sister pistol the QSZ-92 which also has two models, one taking the 5.8x21(used in conjunction with the Type-05) and the 9mm(used with JS-9mm). The pistol looks quite modern(a bit like a USP mixed with another pistol) as does the Type-05 and previous firearms I've mentioned. But this one SMG is quite curious, the Chang Feng, an odd looking weapon chambered for 9mm and fed through a helical magazine on the top of the weapon. The design lost in military trials and are supplied in limited numbers to law enforcement agencies. Looks a bit like the Calico SMG from the US, don't you think?
Last but no least, we have this interesting Auto-shotgun which resembles somewhat(at least to me in regards to the back) like a UMP. Loads 12 gauge shotgun rounds from anywhere from 5 round box to 10 or 20 round drum magazines. It seems that its integrated with a 38mm underbarrel launcher, supposedly used to fire less-lethal rounds like teargas or flashbang. Nonetheless an interesting shotgun.
Well, from all of this, I'm starting to feel(actually been feeling like this for quite a while now) that the whole running gag with Chinese products being crap quality is overrated now, in fact, its exaggerated quite a bit. Although I'm not saying that they're completely out of it, there's a few cases of bad Chinese workmanship and. . . obvious copyright infringement. . . namely the golden RX-78 Gundam which they were making for an amusement park. Aside from the bad color scheme and having little detail whatsoever, I think one of the ends of the 'V' on it's head was crooked. . .
Anyway, I'm drifting off. Point is, China is a rapidly growing country who may further advance industrial and military wise. I'm somewhat in suspense for what move they plan to make next.

As far as I am aware the Chinese have both hi-end and low-end production. A lot of things that are Chinese low quality products made in numbers floods the European market.

The history of Marksmen and Sharpshooters is a very interesting history, I never thought muskets would be accurate enough to be used effectively for sniping.

This is a nice weapon, manufactured by Silver Shadow, the Gilboa 9mm SMG. What's interesting is not only that it's lower receiver is practically the same as an AR-15, minus the shortened magwell for Glock style magazines but the fact that it has a traditional charging handle on the side AND an AR-15 style rear charging handle as well. Must be something to do with muscle memory so that soldiers or just people comfortable and used to AR-15s can use this gun easier. Overall, an interesting weapon(I feel that I use the word interesting a lot).
As well as this 9mm SMG, Silver Shadow also has given us earlier the Gilboa Snake, a double barreled, double mag fed AR-15, so basically two ARs in one. Very curious, this rifle. Its idea is to deliver twice the firepower but I can think of a few problems with this gun. For one, since there are two barrels and two mags to feed it from, not only would it feel awkward to hold without a vertical grip but shells are going to be ejected on both sides, not that pretty. The whole issue of accuracy comes to mind with this rifle, I mean sure, twice the firepower but does that affect the accuracy of the gun? I think the added recoil of two rounds simultaneously fired will be enough to ruin a normally stable burst. Overall, I'm quite skeptical about it.
While on the topic of Israel(because Silver Shadow is an Israeli weapons manufacturer), the IDF(that is Israeli Defense Force) officially adopted the CAA MAG 17 to replace their standard magazines made of aluminium. This new mag is sort of like Magpul's PMag though the ammo indicator seems pretty nifty, even has one on the bottom of the mag.
Anyway, gotta go, it's getting late for me.

The SMG seems interesting enough but the double barreled rifle is nonsense IMHO. The burst is enough if not why not to try 4 shots one?

War is always evolving and with today, maritime warfare has taken another step forwards. PNW Arms, a munitions manufacturer(so the make bullets), have developed a new bullet with the ability to penetrate and travel deeply through water. Dubbed the 'Supercavitating' bullet, it works by creating a bubble of gas large enough to encompass an object when travelling through liquid, reducing skin friction drag on the object and increasing bullet speed through water. This technology however, is not new. In the 70s, Russia developed torpedoes that used supercavitation to travel through water faster, Germany and Iran also have claimed to developed similar torpedoes. See this demonstration they uploaded on their channel on youtube.

Well yeah but to turn AR-15 to underwater rifle would mean modification of the weapon. One can dream that it could be as easy as simply changing the magazine. . .

Dreams are often crushed by reality. -.-

If a new multipurpose weapon is developed to be used in both land and sea, we got a winner. At least it looks like that.

Apparently, the Hellenic Coast Guard was gifted by the Israeli Government with 900 of their Jerico 941 9mm pistols with ammunition. This is apparently a thank you to them for helping prevent an alleged unseaworthy activist ship from breaking through to the coast of Gaza.
The ship was the "Freedom Flotilla II - Stay Human" and was a conglomerate of over 22 NGO(Non Government Organisations). The name refers to the Gaza Freedom Flotilla which was another attempt the year before.

Reading this made my heart sank. I can't believe the many men and women in the armed forces fight and risk their lives for a-holes like the person in question of this article to do such things.
