But from what ive heard years ago there IS a way to deal with chinese eyes, and of course the face is easily modifiable nowadays. All that I know is, its got to freakin hurt, after surgery... hope she didnt get any complications.

Wtf is this shit? Both the girl and her boyfriend are going overboard in my opinion. If it's true love, then looks don't matter (atleast certainly not to this extent). Why can't we all understand this?
