Okay so I've been doing some thinking about what I want to take in college I think
teaching english might be what I'd like to do, But also I will be taking Japanese as a second language so that I can teach over seas in japan. And the plus side to being fluent in japanese is I will no longer need to watch anime in english dub or with subtitles :). Is this a good career choice Fakku?

I think becoming a teacher is always a good choice. Just make sure you are willing to work long, hard hours for low pay. If you are a good teacher, you've got my respeck.

Well, here's one reason it's a risk.
You're going to Japan
That requires time, money, planning and more.
Once you get there, who's going to give you a guaranteed job?
Plus, what if Japan isn't as great as you think it will be?
Also, moving from one state to another (permanently-assuming that's what you'll do) takes time. Not so much because of the actual transferring of you and your goods, but the whole period of adjustment. You're going to have a lot to get used to. I'd imagine the whole citizenship and related crap will become strenuous, and so on.
But I mean... that's what you want to do, so go for it. Your dreams and aspirations are among the few things that people can't take away from you....

@HentaiElder Well I am actually Canadian so it might be different, Plus my hometown has got some tight connections with Kasugai, Japan. Here are some examples.
Kelowna's Sailboat statue (The original)
Kasugai's Replica Sailboat Statue (a gift from us)
Believe it or not this is still canada yet it looks like japan (Kasugai's gift to us)

Ah, I see. Pretty cool stuff. The "Japanese Garden" or whatever one may call it.. looks pretty awesome. Places like that make Japan seem worth visiting.

Not bad if you can pull it off. My boss at LWB has kinda gone the same route, becoming an English teacher in Japan and stuff. He said there's always a demand for language teachers, I thought about this too. English and German? Yeah why not.
Good luck.
