No, I'm not talking about the movie. Rather, I'm heading down (up?) to LA for a few days to visit family, but I've NO idea what to do. Disneyland is out of the question, since thanks to the internet I can no longer look at Goofy or Donald the same way again.
So what I'm asking of the venerable Fakkuza: what's there to do in LA besides get high off my ass and hope to get lucky at the maid cafe featured in Random?

I heard the cops were really nice there, maybe the moment you step into the LA sun one will be waiting specifically for you just to ask you very "nicely" to get into the car so he can give you a "tour."

Go to hollywood duh. Visit the walk of fame and the Grauman's Theatre. Plus the beach is full of free entertainment (no not bikinis), there are street preformers who want to make it big that just go to the beachfront like muscle beach for fun.
Stay away from the nickel though (aka skid row). We had to spend a week there once and it was the saddest week of my life.
