Anyways, a lot of good, popular series got only one season despite the manga having much more material. Unless you ask the producers of the anime or people in the actual business, you won't ever know the true answer.

I mean, why did they never make more of Fruits Basket? Very popular series, the manga has a lot of good shit that the anime could have covered. But nope. It ends, and we're left with no more anime. And that's fine, because at least we have the manga.

fuit basket anime was trash, they changed the story plot from the origanal, and fucked it all up to the point of no recovery

Hey normally I ignore your threads but I do wish Skip Beat had gotten not just gotten a second season, but maybe a third or fourth. (At least through the Natsu arc.)

In any case, artcellrox is right, the anime wasn't terribly popular in Japan, so that's why it's likely not getting any more seasons. IIRC it was a midnight show in Japan so it didn't get a lot of viewership.

yes it being a midnight show would have harmed it, it would have done better in the afternoon or evening, still the manga still ranked up there and the dvd sells arevstill going up. One can only hope

Actually, I don't think the anime was that great. The show seemed rather mediocre compared to the glorious manga.

I love the manga though. Couldn't get enough first time I read it.
