Edit: I am pretty sure I've gotten rejected at least three or four times, but never overtly. It was always the subtle text-message-overload-before-I-say-stupid-and-suddenly-stop-receiving-texts deal. It's these same times where I don't just go out and say, "Hey, wanna go out?" and try for a more subtle method.

subtle method = subtle rejection.
