I remember back in physics class, we used the metric system all year. then at the end they give us a question in english units, and the class was like "F*ck this, we're using metric units" so we convert the english units to metric, do the equation, then convert back.

I hate english units, I still don't know what a pint is

I use "m", "Kg" and "°C"

So, what did I win?

I often question why we don't use metric, but then I remember that the only time it matters for me is when I'm talking to a foreigner and I stop caring.

I know both systems quite well. Its not that hard once you have practice in both, like knowing two languages. I was lucky enough that my science classes were in both unit systems so you just learn the conversions and get on with it. Granted I havent learned ALL of the units in either system but I think in a few years I will know enough for my purposes. Honestly though its kinda silly to care about. Neither system is "stupid".
